Two Indians in the UK sentenced to jail for smuggling seven Indians in the boot of the car

representative imageTwo Indian residents have been sentenced to jail for smuggling seven Indian tourists, including women and children, into the UK illegally by hiding them in the boots of two cars. 48-year-old Palwinder Singh Phool has been sentenced to three and a half years and 45-year-old Harjit Singh Dhaliwal has been sentenced to three years and two months in prison.According to the home ministry, Phool was stopped near the British border in Dover in July 2018. Three Indians were found in the boot of his car. Dhaliwal’s car was stopped four days after Phul’s arrest. Four Indians were found hiding in the boot of his car.Canterbury Crown Court in south-east England sentenced the two accused. The two Indians have been charged with smuggling tourists into Britain illegally.
